Look. I’m one of many women who froze her eggs, as insurance for family planning…I did so because I knew there could be a time I’d rely on IVF to start a family. (This includes trans men and non binary individuals). THANK BABY JESUS that we and our partners have the ability and choice to have IVF, as 1 in 6 families are affected by infertility and need this option. So, excuse my French when I say what the actual f*ck Alabama and the next states to follow suit—the court cited language from an 1872 state law. 1872?!?! This is the part where we realize that due to the overturn of Roe v Wade, our nation is now crumbling.
All of this to say, I am a proud advocate for women’s rights, and I will fight and die on that hill.
