This was an unforgettable evening and it was all made possible by the amazing @nazrin.choudhury the writer and director of @redwhiteandbluefilm who took a current hot topic and managed to turn it into a fantastic film without making it feel like there was a hidden political agenda, hence the name Red, White, and Blue. It was brilliantly written, directed, and edited and she managed to tell a whole story in 22 minutes on a very limited budget!! For over a year sheās been functioning on very little sleep, putting her heart and soul into this film and we are truly grateful for all her hard work because none of this would have been possible without her getting out there for film festivals and interviews, etc! Whatās amazing is she still had time to make sure we had everything we needed for the Oscars and made sure I would be by her side on the red carpet! We truly love you Nazrin and your family @imanjudgee and @alyssajudgee . Although, we didnāt win the Oscar, I feel we are the winners because of the love that was poured into this film by everyone that worked on it! We gained tons of fans, and we became the Red, White, and Blue family! Short films are the best, because we do not do them for the money, but for the camaraderie, lasting friendships, and the connections.
Thank you Nazrin and Sara! Iām forever grateful for all the sacrifices you made (like draining the piggy banks and lack of sleep) to make this film and for trusting me to be your Maddy!
One last note: @brittanysnow I loved playing the role of your daughter. You are the sweetest person! @reddingmunsell I loved playing your big sister! You are the cutest. Much love to all of you! š
