Let’s get really REAL for a moment.. Saturday night obvi didn’t go my way. In fact, the past 2 years haven’t gone my way. As an athlete ranked top 5 in the world, it has been a struggle to balance my athletic career and wanting to start a family. I have been trying naturally to get pregnant, all while fighting at the top of the @ufc which has been an awkward balance. After losing in Oct, 2022 I decided to to dedicate my time to starting a family with hopes of getting pregnant and returning to fighting. 4 rounds of IUI with no success then 3 rounds of IVF and 2 miscarriages was really hard on me mentally and physically. From all the treatments and countless hormone injections each day I got up to 170 pounds. After my second miscarriage I decided to take a break and take a fight in order to take my mind off of the disappointment. Suffering another loss this weekend was def not what I wanted but that’s life right. 🤷🏼♀️ everyone has their own shit they’re going through so sometimes you have to just suck it up and keep fighting. Even though the results were not what I planned for. I am very proud of my self for getting back in shape to be able to compete with the best at the top of this sport. It was hard going through IVF and dealing with body changes while having trolls tell me I’m fat, ask if I’m moving up weight classes or if I’m pregnant. Acknowledging the hard work I’ve done this past year is some positivity through out this wild journey! It’s hard to discuss fertility issues. Most people keep it very private but it sucks and is very hard. I hope by talking about it, it may make someone else felt at least understood. So many people are dealing with fertility issues and it’s HARD! I feel for you if you are! Stay strong, stay positive, keep fighting!!!❤️ If you want to know what I did to make this transformation let me know! It’s not complicated. But it’s hard work and discipline. In a world full of ozempic and surgery I promise you it’s possible with out that!

Almost every morning for me includes ✨Hydrogen water first ✨Coffee @deathwishcoffee this week I’ve been obsessed with their coconut caramel flavor 🤌🏽 ✨Sunlight outside with no sunglasses ✨Using my red light face mask ✨Drinking water with salt ✨Vitamins & breakfast My nighttime routine is bananas but I won’t get into it rn.

Are you team spar? You hear a lot of people debate if mma fighters should spar a lot and hard or sometimes not at all. For me, I will always love sparring! It’s the best way for me to prepare psychically and mentally for a fight. 2-3x times a week, every week for my entire career. Fueled by @deathwishcoffee
