Lauren Tom Instagram – Many thanks to @aarp for hosting the most beautiful luncheon at @crustaceanbh to honor #thejoyluckclub for paving the way for future #asian films and #actors in the industry. The love and respect in that room was palpable—the younger generation showing appreciation for the perseverance and courage of those who came before them, and the older generation cheering on and standing in awe of the younger generation’s talent and activism. I was surrounded by so many of my loved ones—my husband, mom, brother, one son, (the other one is at college!) my manager, and so many friends, that it was almost surreal like the show, “This is your life”. (I’m dating myself!😂) @lisalingstagram did a fantastic job moderating a panel with @thetamlyntomita @lisaluofficial @thekieuchinh @mingna_wen (who was on zoom) @janetyangofficial and me. We missed @chao_time who was unable to make it. 🥲 The food was delicious and the lychee martinis were amazing! In a time when the world is just about as crazy as it can be, I think everyone there felt uplifted with a sense of community, belonging, and support. ❤️ #sograteful
