Melinda Gates Instagram – It’s no secret that the U.S. venture capital industry has a diversity problem. Year after year, only about 2% of venture capital funds go to companies led exclusively by women—and Black women receive only a small fraction of that funding.   My company @pivotal_ventures is working to change that by investing early in funds and companies led by women and people of color. We know that for the VC industry to achieve its potential, a diverse group of people must be able to control, access, and benefit from investment capital.
