What did I just read? For the life of me I wouldn’t be able to explain what this book is about! As a reader this is a book that pushed my boundaries. It’s one of those unconventional, bizarre books I’ve read. Extremely hard to understand if you’re going to put your logic into it… This book will ask you more than just be a passive reader .. but to navigate through it by giving it your all.. your experiences… thoughts.. dreams.. it will force you to dig up that wild heart and mad soul whose existence you probably never even acknowledged..! The words.. sentences .. story…in this book made no sense yet made complete sense… it’s poetic.. beautiful.. amorphous.. lucid… and reveals more about yourself as a reader than about the author…or her story..And to think that Clarice Lispector wrote this at the age of 23..!! I usually do not go back to a book after I’ve read it once.. but I have a strange feeling that this book is going to call me back!❤️
When I finished this book it felt like a breakup from a committed relationship with no closure… I’m honestly angry at the author.. I needed more.. I need more explanation.. you haven’t answered a lot of questions… to have ended.. to have child’s life end like that is a cruelty an author can do to a character… !😒😒😒 Keeping those feelings aside..It’s been such a profound read… Makes you wonder what life is .. what meaning does time have in a world if it’s just one person.. what anything in life that we fiercely hold close to mean?.. I also lived through her journey of excitement when she discovered music or a book.. or a normal dress.. or a bed.. I’m absolutely in awe of this book! My heart is full…❤️
