Evolution story : Being a regular at any pub comes with some interesting perks like drinking buddies, dance buddies, sing-along buddies, washroom sisters, hi-fiving bartenders and a DJ who’d let you in the DJ Booth🤩😍! Cafe Morisson in Delhi was that space for me where I watched the DJ operate on this complicated machinery and I was so fascinated by it. Eka Hasta Bhujasana(Elephant trunk pose) to Ashtavakrasana(8 angle pose) transition. Core, upper body, wrists… Never been my strong points.. after practicing for a while I stopped worrying about what all I’m NOT able to do and just kept practicing the basics… During this process my wrists stopped hurting, my core and upper body started getting strong ..and before I knew it I was doing poses I never imagined I could! MOS Night! Story Time: When I turned 18 a tall, lanky sharp looking guy took me to a club in Dubai, for the very first time. I was super excited but was almost immediately disappointed. I wasn’t drinking and found myself in the middle of a bunch of crazy people dancing out-of-sync, laughing for no reason and jumping around. Soon the guy with me started doing the embarrassing dance and I was horrified!! All I wanted was to runaway from this world that didn’t make sense to me, never to return! Where do I even begin with this.. This is one of those books my father recommended to me.. I never got to it for years and then my friend who’s never failed to impress me with her recommendations @blessymarychacko21 insisted that I give it a read and finally I got around to it… and OMG what a trip it was! It wasn’t an easy read especially the first few chapters… but then I didn’t realise when my life merged into the world of Lin, Prabhakar, Karla, Didier, Abdullah, Abdul Khader Khan… and so many other characters who made me laugh out loud, drench my pillow in tears, fall in love, gasp in horror and even change me as a person… And to stop every now and then to remind myself that this happened FOR REAL!!Crazy!! I think this book has changed me for good and left me with a lot more love in my heart ..Shantaram took me on a journey I could never imagine…❤️! It’s one of the most incredible books I’ve read.. and I couldn’t recommend it enough… The love I have for this book made me go to Mumbai Leopold Cafe which is a huge part of this story and click a fan girl pic there!☺️❤️ #shantaram #bookstagram

After ‘Circe’ this is the Second book by Madeline Miller that I’m reading and it did not disappoint. Circe was beautiful but “The song of Achilles” has taken a different spot in my heart. Madeline Miller spun an entire world inside me with the Greeks, Trojans, gods, their egos, a mother torn between the love for his son and the love of his son, the extremely descriptive war scenes ….but what rises above all is the heartwarming love story that will break you into a million pieces.
