Nathalie Kelley Instagram – I’ve kept a journal on and off from very young age but I never knew if I was “doing it right.” I know it’s a personal practice not meant for sharing but I always had this nagging feeling that my current style was not making me a better writer or helping me expand my creativity. Enter @nina_karnikowski to the rescue with this brilliant concept of journaling prompt cards- designed by a writer with budding writers in mind. The cards have helped me on a creative but also on a personal and emotional level. After pulling this particular card on despair I was able to channel compassion not just for the victims of violence around the world, but for those who support violent policies out fear. Acknowledging my despair helped me have compassion for the the fear that is the driving force of violence – bringing me some catharsis during these heavy times. 🙏🏽🌟 Full disclosure @nina_karnikowski and I have been best friends for over 20 years but even if I didn’t know and love her deeply I would recommend these cards to anyone wanting to take their creativity to the next level. After using them a few months of use I can feel my right brain expanding as I sit down to write and the ritual around picking a card is the perfect invitation to commit to this daily practice.
