My tiktok right now is a bit hard for the platform: I try to give people useful info but people come to the app to relax and have fun. I decided to create tiktok series on how I step-by-step grow as an immigrant in the American entertainment industry. One video= one topic like: how to work with a stylist, which mistakes I did on a red carpet, etc.

3. I’ll make y’all my PR agents next month. I created this very fun strategy two years ago and my followers were recommending my account to their friends and I was giving y’all gifts for this. Want to repeat it again

The real reason why I invest in movies?
Last year I invested and produced two movies: DarkGame with Ed Westwick and Hound of War with Frank Grillo.
I like the profit I get from my investments in movies but it isn’t the main reason why I do it. I want to dispel stereotypes about Eastern Europeans. If there is a bad guy in a Hollywood movie, TV show, it’s gonna be either Russian, Ukrainian or Polish.
For example, Emily in Paris had a Ukrainian girl, who was stealing stuff. Majority of Marvel movies have an annoying, uneducated Russian guy as an evil character. In the new sеx in the city Carrie said «how this girl can afford this luxury apartment? She is probably a Russian prostitute»
Living in Russia I laughed at it. But moving abroad I understood how these stereotypes affect my life and other Eastern Europeans. Like when at the business events men don’t believe that you achieved something on your own and ask whose +1 I am.
The movie industry needs some Gen Z to fix it. And I’m gonna continue to invest in producing movies and changing the world.

The film industry realities, or Why talent ≠ success in the movie industry
Being for several years in the film industry, I got to know it both as an actor and as a producer. And here are the realities.
When you come to audition, you consider the most important thing is to get into the character and give your 100%. And only when I became a producer, I realized by what criteria actors are actually chosen.
Now I may destroy the hopes of novice actors and people who have no connections in the film industry. But talent is not your trump card at all.
Who do you think will be chosen? A good actor that no one knows about, or a good actor with a certain level of social media popularity and a certain number of followers? Yeah, you are right, the second one.
Just because the movie industry is a business, and for any producer the financial success of the film is what matters.
It doesn’t mean that only influencers with a million audience will be invited to projects. No. But if there is a choice, then it will be made in favor of the person who will bring more people (read: money) to the cinema.
