Happy #InternationalWomensDay. The Water Protector Legal Collective stands committed to highlighting the indispensable role of Indigenous women in our movements. Since time immemorial many of our communities have revered Mother Earth. Honoring Indigenous women’s stewardship of Mother Earth emphasizes the profound connection between women, particularly Indigenous women, and the nurturing and protection of our environment. We also honor the Water this Women’s History Month with World Water Day (March 22) approaching.
