Indigenous beauty. Wrote this for the two people that helped me learn to see my own beauty again. My sister Elisabeth Echo-Hawk Kawe @10degreesofchange and @charlieapok whose living of their beauty in their whispers of strength in my ear, their fierce advocacy, the mothering of their children and their ability to find beauty in all of creation continues to heal my heart. My fav line is callused hands, in it I mean working hard for the community and forming protective barriers of protection for them, these two carry this in their hands. Damn, I’m blessed❤️was able to bring them together to meet where Lis brought us into the fierce beauty of auntie @puacase , who also exemplifies this beauty.
