Kennels, crates, vans, vets, planes, trucks… customs.. boarders…And a whole lotta mad love…
36 hours of travel for both the boys and us and all going to plan (now Mercury has gone direct as of today!! ) we should have two little boys safely back to @thelastarkorphanage by midnight tomorrow.
Still waiting for wheelsup and have to clear customs and boarders tomorrow but we are finally en route to collecting two very big boys.
Wishing everyone a safe , whole and meaningful 2024

Alive and Kicking ✊🏾
On January 1 2024 Auberon and Ludo, two perfectly innocent and devine creatures were sentenced to execution by the British Government.
On that very day due to a whole lot of love, energy, time, coordination, commitment, red tape and dodgy customs brokers they are now both free and will live out the remainder of their lives with a pack of dogs, in nature, swimming in rivers and climbing mountains muzzle free and treasured for who they are. No matter their history, breed or possible kinks.
Because quite simply we owe every single living creature the right to be seen and honourd without prejudice, discrimination and projection. (All built on media manipulation and divisive political tactics)
THIS is what the goodness and commitment of a few people can do!
And I can not tell you how it makes my jaded heart swell to have experienced the love of the community out there show up especially in a time where we are wading through a mire of such abhorrent, fear fueled hate and polarization.
And the biggest thanks to @danni.allpaws for picking up the phone when I called and entertaining my insanity… for taking the best care Ive seen from any kennel in my life, for driving them to their vet appointments and getting their shots and paperwork, for walking them together and setting them up to be brothers for life… you’re an angel on earth.
And Fede for taking on and navigating Argentine “bureaucracy… “ (if you know you know) like a stealth ninja…driving us 1200kms across boarders and oceans…

We are all pretty exhausted and its going to be serious work acclimating these gorgeous lads, make no mistake. But what an absolute honour.
Thank you all who helped make this happen.
It may be only two lives but its the quality of life we give our children that makes or breaks them.
If we cant give them the lives they deserve frankly they are better off without us.
Two and four legged alike.

Kept pregnant in the most heinous of conditions and their blood, drained from their necks after the first term of pregnancy, the foal aborted and left for dead….
all for the use of a hormone that is injected into pigs (mostly) also kept in similarly vile conditions, only adding insult to injury.
The hormone is bought by factory enterprises all around the world to bring on estrus in females to produce more babies/pork for the consumption of bacon and sausages.

This is the magic and tenacity of spirit youd be hard pushed to find in many cultures given the horrific and unforgivable circumstances.
@free.gaza.circus which was founded in 2018 took it upon themselves as the bombs started dropping, in-spite of losing members of the group day by day, to keep spreading as much joy and love as humanly possible to the children and orphans of Gaza.
I messaged briefly with Mohammed one of the founders yesterday who’s current broken state is not mirrored in this montage. Men who frankly deserve awards for performances of a lifetime. Quite literally. For authentic true heroism and courage.
He asked that I pass on their story, not for donations, they have nowhere to spend money and nothing to buy.
Tomorrow they may no longer be here.
But he asked that we keep the essence of their true spirit and journey alive.

They call him -El Negrito-
and this little man needs our HELP…
23 years pulling trash carts around the busy and congested streets of Montevideo.
Nearly his entire life.
As part of incentive to dissolve this antiquated and brutal business, there is an exchange where the owners of these horses are given motorbikes to give up the horses, so they can be rehomed to live some semblance of a peaceful life.
Its a life of pure misery and slavery.
Permanently tethered from birth, pulling oversized carts, through polluted and dangerous streets.
Many live and die this way without ever so much as seeing a field or another horse except in passing in similar states.
we are currently en route to see him in a fairly dangerous area 3 hours away in Montevideo, to assess his situation and work out if we can justify bringing him back to the Orphanage. He’s a fully intact stallion, who’s hooves are completely out of control as you can see in the images and we’re not sure what else we might find.
As he’s a senior, he’ll need a lot of medical care and attention for his final years and obviously a castration.
if we’re going to bring him home, we’ll need all the support we can get.
If you want help be a part of this beautiful old man’s story so he can play out his final years in peace, please please do contribute.
No one gets paid here every penny goes to his transportation and care.

Its been a year since the Hoarder kids arrived on deaths door.
Starved and emaciated after enduring a horrible life at the hands of a selfish human who kept all manor of animals in the most horrific of conditions.
They arrived during the worst drought in 40 years, and somehow we managed to get them over the hill with forage and vitamins, hydration, slow integration with the land and new family….and lots of constant love.
They would break into the house to try and find any snacks as they had been accustomed to rifling through trash, and even eating dog food in the previous incarnation.
While it was pretty cute, it was actually a desperate sign that these kids had been in survival mode their entire lives.
Left in a prison of Hell to fend for themselves.
We don’t often take enough time to stop and look back to see how far they have come. But this image of an emaciated Meadow popped up on my timeline today.
So to honor the year of not only surviving but thriving and now to see them in all their glory living off the land, in the herd mother and daughter, safe and free… It brings us to tears.
A reflection, and a reminder that we all deserve a chance to live in safe spaces, protected from subjugation, tyranny and oppression on any level.
We honor and revere you mummy Meadow and Baby Blossom, true symbols of tenacity and grace….
