Ritabhari Chakraborty Instagram – I still remember the day @zinia.sen called me to lend my ears to the script of “Bramha Janen Gopon Kommoti”. She did not even tell me she wrote it. My director,Aritra Narrated the film to me and i knew that very moment i wanted to do it. I did not even let him sip his coffee because i did not want him to stop in middle of the narration (That is exactly how invested i was while listening to it). We made the film and rest is history! The Box office success, the Indian Panorama selection, Rave reviews and audience’s love towards the film was more than we could ask for. What made it all the more special was breaking the glass ceiling for women who wanted to be priests or break the taboos around it. Till date such stories come to us where a woman got inspired from the film and practiced the rituals with whole heart without feeling ashamed of the fact that they are women.
