Ok, Egg Freezing Diary Day 2! Thank you all for your lovely encouraging comments. I think I’m more excited than anything to get started but I do believe it’s going to hit me at some point; the enormity of it, the psychology of it, the pain of it but more than anything, the peace of mind that I’ll get from it, and that really does over shadow everything else. Some of you have already said but I’m still curious to know if any more of you ladies have frozen your eggs? Thinking of doing it? Currently doing it? Men have your partners been on this journey? EF Diary Day 4! So I changed my mind… I ended up sticking with the UK and am doing it at @hsfc_uk. I genuinely love the team there and having them so close makes me feel more at ease, so if I (God forbid) have any complications, they’re literally a car/train journey away. Tomorrow I have my next scan and my first injection of 12 (minimum) so wish me luck! (I’ll explain more about the timeline then too.) #EggFreezing #eggfreezingjourney #eggfreezingprocess
Day 3 of my EF journey… I learnt so much about my eggs and the process of vitrification at the @barbadosivf. I really wish this was something taught to me when I was younger or at least spoken about in more depth. Yes my aunty and friends had encouraged me to do it in my younger years, but I didn’t for one second think it would be something I would need to consider, let alone think about back then, but who knew 37 would come around so quickly?! I really should have taken action when they first said it all those years ago. I can’t turn the clock back now, but I can move forward as quickly as possible (of course armed with the new knowledge I now have) and not wait a minute longer to protect my future offspring. Egg Freezing Diary Day 26… This cycle is a rough one! They did say the first two after egg collection are heavier and more painful and they were not wrong 😑 Migraine makes even more sense now, as well as the shakes and the lethargy I had, but hopefully I’ll be all good in a few days! I was a bit worried in case I had ruptured something as I didn’t expect my period to start so quickly after my eggs had just been taken out, but apparently all is normal. Egg freezing diary day 28! Final payment of the year of £300 for egg storage (as far as I’m aware) and then I’ll pay my next instalment in January I guess! What a difference a week makes that’s for sure. The day before and the day of egg collection was definitely the most painful and then obviously the migraines over the weekend weren’t favourable, but I’m now out of the painful place and can go back to being me again. Egg Freezing Diary Day 30!!! Feeling great! Worst House on the Street series one started to repeat again today which means series two is not too far away so that made me smile! It’s my Dad’s birthday so been spending time with him, it’s also my agent’s birthday so dropped him his present and another friend’s so dropped him his too! I felt like Santa Clause today, or the Easter Bunny hopping around leaving gifts! Egg Freezing Diary Day 27! One whole week since my eggs came out and I finally feel like I’m getting back to normal, back being my old self again. And while I’m at it…. Here’s my exciting news! I love sharing with others and imparting my knowledge on to all so anyone that is considering getting into TV presenting, I’m holding a day taster course in conjunction with the @thecomedyschooluk in June! I’ll stick the link in my bio and I’ll hope to see some of you there!
Day 5! I said I’m going for my third scan but I actually meant second for the egg freezing; the first one I had is what found the fibroid. This is all about the time line of the process which will definitely vary depending on the clinic you choose, but this is my schedule. I mention fibroids in this video and my goodness we need to talk about these ladies! What little 💩💩💩they are!!!!!!! I feel like that needs to be a whole other conversation because wow, what a journey I’ve been on learning about those. Most importantly, stay healthy and keep an eye on your body. You know it better than any body else so do not let anyone tell you you’ve got nothing to worry about; pester the doctors until you’re seen and you’re happy with the diagnosis.
