Hello Instagram Fam! I am reaching out to you all to ask for your help in bringing a creative vision to life. As I recently shared, I have just completed filming my directorial debut – a short film called SIENNA AND THE SIT. It’s a comedy about heartbreak and the lengths to which we go to avoid feeling our feelings. It is a wild ride through LA spirituality and our very human quest to find the quick fix, when there’s really no way out but through. We have completed physical production, but need help fundraising to meet our Post production goals, which include editing, composition and sound design, as well as applications to film festivals. I am endeavoring to raise $15,000 (and must hit $12k in order to release the funds). It seems like a lofty goal, but little donations add up, and any amount will make a difference. I curtsey-bow to all the women who hold up half the sky, and hold up most of my heart, mind and soul. There is not enough room for me to post every picture of every woman who uplifts, roots for and inspires me every day, so here is a shot from my Women’s Delegation trip with @amazonwatch to the Tapajós river of the Amazon. During our incredible adventure attending the Indigenous women’s march I had the chance to learn the traditional carimbó dance from the women of the area, as we shared in their culture around the fire, as humans have done since the beginning of our collective existence. The whole experience holds a special place in my heart as a celebration of women and their power, wisdom and magic, and felt like a chance to share the sharing I cherish experiencing with women down the street and around the world.
