A new day ☀️ This month has been a month of healing, of space, of time and gratitude. ❤️ Thank you to all of you for your love, your kind words of encouragement and support since I shared the news of what I’ve been personally going through. Not going to lie, it took me for an unexpected spin. Your messages filled me with such strength at a moment I felt so down. I’ve learned through this experience that healing from something traumatic is not a one size fits all. Some days are good, some days are rough…. and some days are simply in between. I’m proud of myself for being so vulnerable with those around me. It allowed me the time and space to quickly get back to myself. So now today….. This morning I woke up and that bubble of melancholy seems to have floated away. Maybe it’s because it’s Easter… or maybe it’s because Spring is here – whatever it is, I feel like myself again. ✨ I’m out of town for work again and although I miss Kris, the kiddos and my family on this special holiday, I can’t help but be grateful for all that I have. I’m grateful for my career, for this community, and for the constant love of my friends and family. Today is a good day. Happy Sunday… love you all. Thank you for being here. Xx
Loss 🕊️ This isn’t easy to share, but part of my grieving is sharing and talking about it. A couple of weeks ago I had a miscarriage while away for work. It was both traumatic and terrifying, and I was away from my family and Kris. This was not something I wanted to go through without my loved ones right by my side, however I am forever grateful I had the 24/7 support of my work family (you know who you are 🥹) and forever grateful for the kindness of EVERY single member at the local hospital who cared for me and acted quickly with the situation. Going through this experience has instantly put A LOT into perspective. I am still emotionally working through it.. but every day I move forward. Ever upward. Knowing all I know now (statistics of failed pregnancies, risks, the fear) I just wish I could have been more emotionally prepared, as well as more supportive of loved ones who have also experienced this overwhelming sense of grief associated with pregnancy loss. I’m well aware that this will be the first time a lot of our friends and family are hearing about this, but sharing something so personally pivotal is something I feel strongly about. This is my way of moving through it; more importantly, I hope that by sharing my experience I can bring some comfort to others who may have experienced this as well. You are not alone… Life doesn’t wait for you to heal. You have to get up and keep pushing forward for yourself. No matter how painful it may be, find the strength to move through it. Find your support. Fully open your heart so you can heal. ❤️ My heart is with you. Veronica

Yes, you heard that — a grand total of 16 weeks from start to finish. It was an insane amount of creative output at once, and it took a village to pull it off! What one do you guys love?!? I literally can’t pick a fave! Tonight I am just feeling eternally grateful for the village around me, and for all of YOU for continually supporting. I am so appreciative for the moments I get to share and connect with you all. I can’t wait to see what’s in store for 2024! 🕊️

@veronicavalenciahome studio 🖤 Yesterday was my first day back here in a month and it felt SOO good to be back. The kids went back to school, and the day was productive. A little bit of housekeeping… some zooms… calls… design boards…. prepping for site walk-throughs… and then visits from friends. All in all — it was a great day!
