this demo first started years ago, but was completed end of 2023 with new lyrics and new life. i shared this with geng about the song:
while i was touring EU, i felt an urge to speak more than i normally would at my shows. when i was improvising my message every night, bringing up ap4rth3id into the discourse, i kept coming back to the messaging that our heart is a muscle to be used over and over. its so easy to numb ourselves / disassociate / normalize, and i wanted to challenge us to refuse falling into these patterns. i think the words “melt (our hearts) together, mold (the present, the future) together” came from this train of thought.. to remind ourselves that we are all humans together, with a body, heart, and soul– therefor, we deeply care for each other. & therefor, we will not just sit and watch. “together. together.”
sonically, the song reminds me a lot of when i first started writing music. “ny93” era.
writing this felt really freeing.

all sales go towards Urgent Support for Medical Professionals in Gaza & Cultural Capital Haiti

thankful for another heart-opening experience, this time in melbourne 🫶 @australianopen kindly invited us to perform (music) and we got to go see quarterfinals 🥹🎾💪
it was australia day (also referred as invasion day) on my day off, and it was my first time showing up to a rally outside of the states
people around the world really do see how our struggles are interconnected & when all the threads connect, our efforts actually can bring impact.
hope is never lost, but we are sometimes lost,, and thats ok. we just pick it back up
