Caption : I spent 9 months prepping for a natural birth. Strict food, the epi no, yoga, swimming, hypnobirthing methods. I had a tens machine, a birthing comb, I wanted a pool birth ideally with no medication. BUT this was MY plan to stay disciplined and focused. I knew full well it could and would most likely go in a completely different direction. When people asked me “So what’s your birth plan” I said “I am open to surrendering to the safest way for my baby boy to arrive” I had a scan at a few days off of 40 weeks and he was completely the wrong way around and stuck as he was a little chunkier than your average and long. I did everything to try and turn him for 2 months but he said “Nah mum I wanna make an entrance out the roof, not the front door”. I was advised to have a planned C section for the safest birth. This video was taken 5 minutes before I went down to surgery. I went into active labour the night before and feeling all the feels but mostly just excitement for us to meet our baby boy. I guess I’m sharing this because so many people have said “Do you feel like you missed out on the birth you wanted?” I had a birth and it was everything I wanted because I got him at the end of it, that’s all that matters 🤍🫧Likes : 1760280

Caption : I wrote this song years after I was told I couldn’t have children in 2014. In 2015 I was told I needed a hysterectomy to cure the pain I felt most days. I said no thank you and instead changed my diet and took a spiritual journey to healing. In 2021 I lost a baby, but I never gave up hope. Ever. Not once. Hope that whatever way I became a mother would always come to me in the right time. Naturally or not. I wanted to have a baby… In September 2022 in an airport in Rio Brazil I found out I was pregnant. I fell pregnant in the Sky. 🪄 This song hits so different now… I would say this is the end of the baby spam. But it won’t be. I have never felt more in my body and purpose as I do right now. Who I am as an artist is who I am in my life. Being a Mum is now a huge part of my identity and existence and I will celebrate it at every chance I get. Caption : I’m writing this for myself as well as any one else that needs to read this. Your body was a home for someone else to live in for 9 months. Your organs have moved and need to find their way back to where they were before. Your uterus is still deflating slowly. Your hormones are flying and crashing. Your body is working the hardest it has ever worked. You are exhausted but you are magical. You grew a whole human. A human who is doing this with you and loves you beyond measure. Take your time. Be easy on yourself, your body AND your mind. Remember you are in recovery and don’t forget to also remind those around you. Celebrate your new body. It HAD to change. It will be bigger and smaller in different places. IT IS BEAUTIFUL and NATURAL. Ignore the whispers of what some people say you should or shouldn’t look like after a certain time. It’s 2023. People need to chill. Time to snap forward not snap back. It’s your journey. Your time and YOUR body. It’s not the same as anyone else’s, and that’s what makes it special. You are unique. 🤍 This was my body 11 days after giving birth and I still look pretty much the same now 35 days on. I LOVE my body. It has given me the most magical roommate inside and outside of my body. And when it’s ready and able to change again it will. Whatever that looks like. I’m here for it. You are doing amazing Mamma.
