Lil Peep Instagram - On the four-year anniversary of its initial release, we are proud to be able to offer to all of Gus’s fans his beloved “mixtape” called Hellboy across all digital streaming platforms.  For the first time, Peep fans will be able to listen to all sixteen of the Hellboy tracks in the highest quality form possible.  As with Crybaby, our goal was to leave all of Gus’s original work unscathed--only to master it so it can be enjoyed on any medium.  This is both an original and an “ultra” version of what Gus released.  I guarantee this to all Peep fans: this is even more than what you have been waiting for.  Bringing this work to the world has been a true labor of love—by a small and very dedicated team of people.  I know Gus would be proud of this re-release, and pleased to celebrate this moment with collaborators who helped him create this raw, intense, invigorating and heartbreaking piece of work for the world to cry to, scream to, and grind to. He was only 19 when he made this.  That’s quite an accomplishment.

From this day forward, his music will be in the care of his mother and brother, and no one else.   It is a solemn moment for us as we reflect on the struggles of the past five plus years.  We are grateful to all of the fans, friends, professionals, and family who stood by us.  We were all permanently changed by Gus’s death.  We know he should be here in the world with all of us, creating--making whatever he was inspired to make.  But he is not.  So, we will protect his music with all of our strength. We look forward to continuing to release Gus’s music.   This is a very important day for us.

Lil Peep Instagram - On June 10, 2016, Gus released one of his most beloved mixtapes – Crybaby. Today, four years later, we are proud to release Crybaby on all digital streaming platforms exactly the way Gus and his collaborators made it. These songs were exported directly from the GarageBand recording sessions on Gus’s old MacBook, and for the first time, the world is hearing them in the highest audio quality possible. Crybaby represents a turning point in Gus’s artistry. The three mixtapes Gus had released in 2015 were created with various artists and producers entirely over the internet—via email and text messages. When Gus made Crybaby, however, he actually met and worked with his producers in person—Nedarb, Smokeasac, and LeDerrick, to name a few. Like most of Gus’s work, Crybaby was made quickly and confidently. Gus and several of his friends had returned from a month-long stint in Denver back to his old house in Pasadena in early April, 2016. The guys were living and working together in crowded but creative conditions—sleeping shoulder to shoulder, eventually, on the kitchen floor at 1700 University Drive. Gus came home to New York toward the end of May, and finished up the mixtape, dropping it on June 10, the day after he landed back in LA. Ten of eleven of the tracks are fully cleared. This is a victory. We are so glad to give this album to Gus’s devoted fans, and hope it will help get people through these particularly tough times. Liza and Oskar

It is amazing to consider the fact that he made such a beautiful song so simply—using a beat a friend of his from the Internet had given him, a pair of $200 headphones, my old MacBook Pro and GarageBand. He had no label, no studio, no promo. He worked alone in his bedroom, usually throughout the night. The success of this song is testimony to his gift as a poet, his passion, his honesty, and the way he used his voice to evoke feelings in all of us.

Lil Peep Instagram - Come Over When You're Sober, Pt. 2 will be released November 9.  It's just what we all would have expected from Gus. Thanks to @smokeasac for pouring his heart and soul into it for all of these months. Gus’ art is an essential part of the album packaging--it is a pleasure to see a range of Gus's colorful, witty drawings in the vinyl and other physical versions. I think the vinyl record itself is absolutely beautiful. It is designed and crafted with care. More information will be posted about all of that, so stay tuned. The show took place on February 13, 2016 in Tucson, Arizona with Schemaposse.  I bought him a ticket to fly out of JFK on February 12.  His friends--JGrxxn, Ghostemane—would meet him at the airport and take care of him. As he psyched himself up for this new stage in his life, Gus had an instinct that he needed to have some sort of signature style—a “look” that would set him apart.  He decided that he wanted pink hair.  To get color, he had to bleach the hair first.  Emma was good at this stuff, so she was put in charge of getting the hair supplies.  After they bleached his hair, she put the hair dye in.  When it was all done, he hated it.  It was a very pale pink.  He threatened to shave his head bald.  By this time, it was getting pretty late in the evening.  Emma, Gus’s friend Ian and I were all sitting there.  None of us were particularly startled or bothered by this threat since Gus was always shaving his hair off and then growing it out again.  He wanted very bright pink.  So, Emma ran across the street to the Rite-Aid and came back with the bright magenta color that we can see in the photos Gus took of himself February 9 and 10, 2016.  He loved it.  He loved it so much that he took many photos of himself posing with this new hair color and even sent me a short video (in the middle of my school day).  He had taken this short video of himself and Taz lying on my bed—which matched his hair!  NOW he was prepared to perform at his first concert.   The show took place in a small warehouse room filled with a bunch of dedicated fans who knew the lyrics to Gus’s Beamer Boy by heart.  He also performed Lil Kennedy, Pray I Die, Let Me Bleed,  Praying To The Sky, The Pull Off, and Words You Hear On A Sinking Ship. His fans remain loyal and passionate six years later.

Caption : On the four-year anniversary of its initial release, we are proud to be able to offer to all of Gus’s fans his beloved “mixtape” called Hellboy across all digital streaming platforms.  For the first time, Peep fans will be able to listen to all sixteen of the Hellboy tracks in the highest quality form possible.  As with Crybaby, our goal was to leave all of Gus’s original work unscathed–only to master it so it can be enjoyed on any medium.  This is both an original and an “ultra” version of what Gus released.  I guarantee this to all Peep fans: this is even more than what you have been waiting for.  Bringing this work to the world has been a true labor of love—by a small and very dedicated team of people.  I know Gus would be proud of this re-release, and pleased to celebrate this moment with collaborators who helped him create this raw, intense, invigorating and heartbreaking piece of work for the world to cry to, scream to, and grind to. The show took place on February 13, 2016 in Tucson, Arizona with Schemaposse.  I bought him a ticket to fly out of JFK on February 12.  His friends--JGrxxn, Ghostemane—would meet him at the airport and take care of him. As he psyched himself up for this new stage in his life, Gus had an instinct that he needed to have some sort of signature style—a “look” that would set him apart.  He decided that he wanted pink hair.  To get color, he had to bleach the hair first.  Emma was good at this stuff, so she was put in charge of getting the hair supplies.  After they bleached his hair, she put the hair dye in.  When it was all done, he hated it.  It was a very pale pink.  He threatened to shave his head bald.  By this time, it was getting pretty late in the evening.  Emma, Gus’s friend Ian and I were all sitting there.  None of us were particularly startled or bothered by this threat since Gus was always shaving his hair off and then growing it out again.  He wanted very bright pink.  So, Emma ran across the street to the Rite-Aid and came back with the bright magenta color that we can see in the photos Gus took of himself February 9 and 10, 2016.  He loved it.  He loved it so much that he took many photos of himself posing with this new hair color and even sent me a short video (in the middle of my school day).  He had taken this short video of himself and Taz lying on my bed—which matched his hair!  NOW he was prepared to perform at his first concert.   The show took place in a small warehouse room filled with a bunch of dedicated fans who knew the lyrics to Gus’s Beamer Boy by heart.  He also performed Lil Kennedy, Pray I Die, Let Me Bleed,  Praying To The Sky, The Pull Off, and Words You Hear On A Sinking Ship. His fans remain loyal and passionate six years later.
