Caption : I normally wouldn’t post a long scene like this. A friend of mine in Canada texted me that tomorrow’s US show (that shows in Canada the day before) was so nice. I went to @sharonchampagneyoga ‘s page as I knew she would have it. (Thank you girl). This is probably one of my favorite scenes between me and @christianjleblanc . written by the lovely @inacitysonice Just two friends talking. That’s all, just talking. But it’s so loaded. We are nothing like our characters but this scene between us is rich with history and real to who we are. That’s what I love most about #YR ,The history of character. At the core, I think Phyllis is a very sad, apathetic woman who is trying to overcoming it at all times. Thank you for this honor. During 2020 I (along with my co workers) set up a toy drive for kids who would have otherwise not had a Christmas. Folks were suffering. Shoot… they’re still suffering. Everybody on my show was so generous, not only monetarily, but with their time. I truly so happy to be a part of this group of folks who care SO much!! Caption : 5 years ago today I set up my house to stay at home and quarantine with my 2 kids for what I thought would be a few weeks. Little did we know. “Young and the Restless” was the second production in Hollywood to go back to work. We had stringent protocols. Looking back, I can’t even believe we all got through it. Our hair and makeup team in hazmat suits, same with our camera people. Before we make this a political discussion (which I have no intention of doing)… I just wanted to post this video that was taken in October 2020. Yes, we are masked as we worked together and again because of the incredibly strict rules that we had to follow at our place of work, we continued to wear the masks around each other and at home. Whether you agree with it or not. That’s what we had to do. I sorta feel like the world is a bit harsher now. We never (at least I didn’t) went back to what it was…Anyway, How lucky I was to have Christian part of my “pod”. @christianjleblanc is family. Find your family. Caption : As I am a member of Sag-Aftra I whole-heartedly support my union and the reasons for this strike. Daytime actors and Daytime dramas operate under a different contract which has (in a nutshell) different rules. We are still in production and legally must be, per our contract, as it has a “no strike” rule. I,of course, will be supporting my Sag-Aftra brothers and sisters in any way possible. It’s a very important issue. All workers in any field should be compensated for their work. I believe the strike sets a precedence for every other union out there in any other field. “Fair” is the issue here. Caption : It’s been about 6 weeks!! I couldn’t even really do squats (as you can see here) Boxing is damn hard. I don’t even think I have it yet. Tryin to be STRONG… not skinny. My body fat has gone down and muscle mass up. I don’t pay attention to my weight because that really doesn’t matter. I’m coming along… I had kinda let it all go…. I’ve relied on my natural ability to stay fit. But you know, as we get older… it gets harder. There are no excuses. We just have to do it… and work harder. I plan to be here for a while you know, I got to stay correct. Take care of my health. Take care of my body. Caption : Volleyball is over for this year. My daughter killed in Volleyball this year. Her team were champions of their level! Club Volleyball… To all of you parents (there are a lot of you) who have participated in Club Sports you understand. Oh lord. What an undertaking. I met the most extraordinary parents. Kids that excel in sports. There are many and behind them are always very VERY very dedicated parents. My hat off to you. Natalia will read this so I’m not gonna say much. But I just want to acknowledge all those parents out there that sacrifice their time and money and sleep for their kids to do club sports and kick ass in life!
