Mine has always been not living my life to the fullest. To waste this incarnation by living a life where my decisions are made out of fear and not love. So I'm determined to do everything that I am passionate about, which includes chasing waterfalls. 😏 The feeling you get when you jump into the clean, cold water and let it wash over you is amazing. It feels like all the emotional gunk I carry around is washed away in a second. 💦

The biggest reminder has been: everything is for me, nothing is against me. I have learned so much and never felt better!

Sisse Marie Instagram - The past couple of weeks have been really intense for me. I have had to confront emotions and feelings that I never thought I would have to go through. There has been a lot of confusion, anxiety, pain, grief, excitement, love, and guilt, and at times, it was so overwhelming.
Thankfully, I am now on the other side of it all and starting to see the gift in the experience. 🎁 Sometimes, we have to go through hardship to remember what really matters - where we put our focus, what is driven by fear and ego, and what is driven by love. ♥️
I am so grateful that I taught myself to process emotions and feelings in the moment. Whenever I need to cry, I cry, and I allow my body and mind to process whatever is needed. I am not going to suppress any uncomfortable feelings for them to store up in me. My takeaway from this experience is that when we allow ourselves to feel, we can turn a seemingly bad situation into a beautiful experience. We become stronger and more capable on the other side. We must accept what is and surrender to the situation.
Maybe one day, I will share my experience, but for now, I want to remind everyone going through a tough time to allow themselves to feel and express whatever is needed. Deal with it now, and remember that what you allow yourself to feel, you can heal. We got this! With love always. ♥️

Sisse Marie Instagram - Sometimes, we just don't understand why things happen the way they do. We end up feeling like we're missing out or failing when things don't turn out as we hoped. But maybe when life throws crazy challenges at us or things go haywire, there's a reason behind it all? It's like a wake-up call to make smarter choices, or let go of stuff we've been holding onto too tightly.
We struggle to understand the true nature of our journey. We interpret missed opportunities or setbacks as losses, not realizing that not getting what we desire might have a purpose. Perhaps when catastrophic events occur on a global scale or within our personal lives, they carry significance and we need to listen?!

So here's this (maybe stupid) example that reminded me of this whole thing: @alexanderbrandrup and I were all geared up for this epic hike in Yosemite. I was stoked 'cause I'd never been there. But Alexander twisted his ankle and our grand hiking plan went down the drain. Total bummer!
Driving out of the park, we spotted a sign pointing to a 'Waterfall.' Road closed due to construction? You know me and waterfalls – I have to see them! We ditched the car and took a slow walk (blame it on Alexander's ankle) through the woods. Felt like we were lost for a minute.
Finally, we reached this secret waterfall spot – the sun was throwing this amazing golden glow right onto the waterfall, shining perfectly where the stream of the water opened from the mountain. It was so magical. The universe painting a masterpiece just for us at the perfect time. Had we arrived 5 minutes before or after we wouldn't have experienced this. It was the perfect ending to our camper van journey. I felt so grateful and like the universe wanted to show us this perfect alignment of beauty. Wow, that was a lot… even for me. 😄 The ankle is fine…

I’m so grateful for where I am in my life and the incredible people surrounding me—I’ve never felt this loved and truly blessed. The beautiful trips and nature experiences I had this year have been amazing.

A couple of years ago when I metaphorically ‘jumped’ from a cliff after lingering on the edge, gripped by fear. Saying goodbye to familiar goals, visions, and loved ones was daunting; the leap brought a long period of floating in uncertainty. Unsure if I would ever find peace and solid ground, but I did, and I’ve never been happier.

So to anyone standing at a life crossroads, feeling the need to take a daunting leap but paralyzed by fear—I encourage you to do it! The journey might be uncomfortable and scary, but the transformative experience is undeniably worthwhile. Nothing is more painful than remaining in a state you are no longer meant to be in. When we let go, there’s room for what we are truly meant for.

Sisse Marie Instagram - Yesterday, I was on the phone with my younger sister. We talked about our unstoppable drive, always in ‘Yang’ mode. But sometimes, we realize it’s okay to embrace ‘Yin,’ to walk instead of run. Not easy for me. I love being in ‘go’ mode and push myself to the fullest.

This morning, my tea bag shared Lao Tzu’s wisdom, which was such a good reminder for me: ‘Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished.’ That’s why I love being in nature – it reminds me to slow down. Maybe some of you can relate. 🌿

We welcomed Thora Mai to the world 🌎 on June 8 at 4:48am. Our little Viking girl took her time, arriving 20 days past due. Though nothing went as planned and I have more battle scars than expected, we are all happy and healthy now.

Her battle weight was 4595g (10 lbs 2 oz) and 57cm (22.4 inches). Don’t tell me plant-based babies are small ever again! 😅

Thank you 🙏 for all the DMs. I had to leave my phone and focus on my little family (so crazy I can say that now). Grateful and in the flow. Now, it’s time to recover and rest.
