I went to Austin to join Maria Popova’s Universe in Verse event- 5,000 tickets sold to a poetry event! In Texas! On Monday, a group of us went to hill country west of Austin for hopefully a longer better view of the eclipse. It was a lovely ranch and gathering and the sun poked out from the clouds now and then, enough for us to see the corona and magnetic red flares!
