Confession: I’ve often been lazy with my parents story… 😬 I only ever viewed my Dad’s journey through the adventurous eyes of a 10 year old boy (me) traveling to a new continent a new land to explore and new people, with strange accents to meet. 🇺🇸 🛩️ Yes, taking on the role of playing my Dad in this movie was an expensive therapy session. But oh what a worth one. 😲 To drop into his shoes, 👞 and his jacket 🧥 literally…into what his world would’ve looked like in the ‘90s, and not only has it given me more understanding but it’s given me the greatest empathy, compassion, respect and love for Dad. ❤️ More to come on that in the cinemas 🎥🍿across the United States this Friday for what we’re calling “Family Day.” 🫶🏽 Or to SEE IT FIRST‼️check UnsungHero.movie for early access screenings in your area on Wednesday!

It seems dates, times, and seasons are important to God, and I’m feeling that strongly today. I love you so much, Mum, and couldn’t be prouder to be your son🙏🏽… was one of the great honors of my life to date to honor you, and play Dad in this film. @unsungheromovie 👨👩👧👦🎞️

I love practicing the beauty of creativity in every area of life – whether it’s the home @moriahsmallbone and I have created, 🏡 our music, 🎶my relationships, or the food I’m preparing for dinner. 🍱 Usually the impact of those moments play out slowly, ⏰enabling me to enjoy the drawn-out process of beauty that creativity brings. 🎨 However, with @unsungheromovie it has been the reverse. The creativity was slow and steady, years, in fact, and the beauty of the “revealing moment” if you will, where everyone got to see what we had created, 🎬 was a single moment, a single evening, in time. A moment where everyone who has worked on the film 🎥 was gathered in one place (Nashville) to see the creation. It seemed like a flash. 💥 You spend years creating something and now all of the sudden… it’s here.
