Timelapse of the Future was released 5 years ago today. The response to this film has been life-changing, racking up nearly 100 million views and changing the course of my creative path in the best way possible. Grateful and humbled. Thank you all. I’m selling a special edition poster on melodysheep.shop and discounting all posters for a week. Much love to you all✌️
Let’s go asteroid mining together. NASA is exploring an asteroid named Psyche that could contain up to 10 quadrillion dollars worth of resources. Mining it could provide us with critical materials needed for 21srt century technologies. And it would avoid destructive mining practices that disrupt earths ecosystems. What are we waiting for?
Beyond stoked to announce LIFE BEYOND REMASTERED, a director’s cut of my Life Beyond series that combines all episodes and some new content into a freshly polished feature-length documentary. The Life Beyond series is dear to my heart, but some of the visuals and audio have begun to show their age. For months now I have been re-imagining some of the dated visuals I made when I was still a beginner at 3D, adding new visuals and new creatures in the museum of alien life, as well as crafting a new segment about the potential for life on Venus. Clocking in at nearly 2 hours, this full-length film also features an updated audio mix and new music. I think you’re going to relish revisiting these worlds and creatures with fresh eyes and ears. Coming early April. Hold on to your butts!
Did alien life emerge at the beginning of time? Around 15 million years after the Big Bang, the entire universe was a balmy 75 degrees Fahrenheit — and it stayed that way for millions of years, like an endless summer day on earth. In dense pockets of the universe, stars, planets, and water may have formed, leading to the emergence of life forms bathing in the heat of the Big Bang. These beings could be 10 billion years more advanced than us. What could be lurking out there? Adapted from Life Beyond, Chapter 1: The Dawn (2019) And The Sights of Space (2022)
Announcement! The IMAX film I worked on, DEEP SKY, is coming to 300 theaters across North America for Earth day on April 19. The initial theater run was very limited, so if you missed the film the first time around, now is your chance. The film is fantastic — seeing the James Webb Space telescope images (and my visuals) on the IMAX screen is awesome. For a list of theaters or to buy tickets, go to imax.com/deepsky.
