I was talking about this clip the other day to a few of my friends and then I was like “omg I need to watch and reshare” This class was 12 years ago! I remember watching it as it was posted one morning from a NYC cafe thinking to myself- I need to be in LA. Choreography by two incredible teachers of mine @iamdanafoglia @candancebrown. My NY people were there & some significant people a part of my LA journey. @aishimatsu @denzel_chisolm @rk_devotion @mishayyyy @nadineolmo @justinconte @terrellrenee @toddflanagan @kylehanagami & others. & the point is I just hope that people in classes today have people and things to be inspired by. So many moments and people increased the fire within me. Find fuel- it’s out there and it’s ultimately inside of your soul.

I am so grateful I was invited to set a piece on the Professional Semester Students @bdcnyc for their Spring Showcase. Thank you so much to @allie_beach1 for inviting me. Thank you for seeing me for the last 15 years & supporting me as a choreographer. Thanks for trusting me to share and guide this beautiful group. I was so blessed to have such gifted and hardworking dancers (I will tag all of these stars asap) Thank you all for wanting to work as a team and represent me and each other in the most beautiful light. I couldn’t have accomplished this so gracefully without the lovely help and dedication from @madelinejsong Thank you for being a gorgeous example and help for the team. Seeing you grow in this process was so lovely for me. And thank you to @emiliano_jimenez!! who helped me run the audition back in February. I came across a clip today of @iamdanafoglia teaching at @highheelsdanceofficial & it warmed my heart so much. Dana brought me all the way to Turkey with her and I was barefoot! 🥹 This shows how great of an educator she is and a true lover of movement. It also shows how beautiful of a person she is. I’m so grateful to still be learning so much from her everyday almost 15 years later. And extremely grateful to know I have a world of learning ahead. As an assistant people always think I do all the work & while yes I work extremely hard she deserves all of her FLOWERS!!! I truly am grateful to be of assistance. I’m so happy to have so much to look up to her. After all these years I’m still trying to get my arms, spine, pelvis, head, neck, fingertips and all the juice she possesses to match hers. She’s teaching soon April 9 in NYC & having a 3 week intensive there this summer. Invest.
