What a wonderfully warm welcome to Shrewsbury! 👋
Her Majesty was visiting Shrewsbury Farmers’ Market, where she met members of the local community and market traders.
🍞🍎🧀 The market has been held in The Square for almost 20 years and has grown into one of the best markets in the area with around forty traders regularly setting up stall on the first Friday of the month.
Thank you to everyone who came out to say hello! Shrewsbury Farmers Market

Though The King was unable to attend today, a recorded message from His Majesty was played at the service, describing this year’s recipients as, “wonderful examples of such kindness; of going way beyond the call of duty and of giving so much of their lives to the service of others in their communities.”
Head to our link in bio to listen to the message in full.
It was lovely to see so many out in Worcester today who came to welcome The Queen.
Congratulations to this year’s Maundy Money recipients – thank you for your service. Worcester Cathedral

💐 For the first time, The King has tasked the Worcester Cathedral Flower Guild with crafting Maundy Service nosegays.
Working with the royal floristry team, they made sustainable, locally sourced arrangements.
Local children will present these to The Queen at the Royal Maundy Service today.
@royalvolservice’s President, Her Majesty The Queen, joined their spring crafting workshop whilst on her visit to Shrewsbury 💐
During the session, Her Majesty met volunteers and staff from the charity’s local Good Neighbours service and Longden Social Club and some of the people they support.
By hosting regular meetups and in-person activities, volunteers from both services support over 80 local people. We are so proud to have services like this across Britain, so we can help reduce isolation and provide vital support for some of the most vulnerable people across communities ❤
