King Charles III of the United Kingdom Instagram – Today, The Queen presented Maundy Money to 75 men and 75 women in Worcester Cathedral in recognition of service to their local communities. Maundy Thursday commemorates Jesus sharing the Last Supper with his disciples and commanding them to  “Love one another as I have loved you.”  The tradition of the Monarch or their representative presenting alms on Maundy Thursday goes back to 1213.
King Charles III of the United Kingdom Instagram – @royalvolservice’s President, Her Majesty The Queen, joined their spring crafting workshop whilst on her visit to Shrewsbury 💐 During the session, Her Majesty met volunteers and staff from the charity’s local Good Neighbours service and Longden Social Club and some of the people they support. By hosting regular meetups and in-person activities, volunteers from both services support over 80 local people. We are so proud to have services like this across Britain, so we can help reduce isolation and provide vital support for some of the most vulnerable people across communities ❤
