Kode Abdo Instagram – I don’t usually make takes on movies that I found that I didn’t like, this is one I wanted to like, especially because of what it can do and what it can tie into future projects, that being said I am not going to abuse the movie like so many are doing, going straight for the kill-shot, I get it y’all are frustrated and mad, I’m Just really, really confused on what I had watched.  So this is more about feedback.  It was said last night that there were major changes before the movie release which could explain some of the problems and not all of them. Everyone had more chemistry in their press interviews than they did in the movie itself, I have a feeling they had so many cuts that some scenes had multiple days in them, some scenes I found myself saying how did we get here? This was more than once…. Their dialogue was borderline Pun level I don’t want to be harsh about it but the simplistic output seems like something off chatgpt and I wish they had more than one internal screening with some creatives from all fields, I say this because so many things that are wrong with this movie was avoidable with a few rounds of revisions. Like some of the lines. You read them. And said yes that’s the one….. Why? 🥲 I don’t even want to discuss the Villain because you can barely call him that. The thing is. Take away the fandom, take away what we love about the spider-verse, and let’s pretend this was Just a Sci-fi movie, it would have been an enjoyable movie for many, and it was for some that I saw didn’t like Spider-Man in general, but their problem with the movie was that of mine, the dialogue, the overacting to the under acting, you get the feeling the cast doesn’t want to be there, also the confusing cuts and the overall underwhelming story, that being said, they enjoyed it, that’s why I don’t tell people to skip it, because they may enjoy it like some do. I only wanted to write this about Madame Web so Kraven and V3 don’t suffer the same fate. From the outside looking in, from the marketing to the interviews, it seemed all was known before the movie came out, which is a shame, because on paper this movie had great potential, but it was wasted….
