It meant so much to us how proud he was of Oscar doing his work early in his career , “look and that son, fucking mega” was often his line… he certainly had a beautiful style about him, class guy and straight shooter. Both Annie and I were so lucky to spend some quality time with him this year; that special holiday, in special company. Rest easy Gil, a beacon of class that touched our lives. 🕊️

Meet Spencer 🐶. I met his namesake at a beautiful racing track in February 1994. Spencer had an immediate impact on my racing journey and I boarded with him for a few years in Sydney Australia. A cracking bloke(still is), pocket rocket and took no shit. Those that know, know. 😜 Over to you pup. 💥💪🏼

Imola this weekend and a very important thumbs up here. Sometimes you’ll see drivers single out someone in their team and give them a note of appreciation, it could be something different/special that made the difference on that particular day. 20 years ago I raced in the curtain raiser before the F1 race and I was in a little bit of bother in the build up. 🥴 I managed to fracture a few ribs on the Wednesday of that week(we won’t go into that) and wasn’t sure how they would feel jumping all the kerbs necessary to be quick at that venue. 1st practise wasn’t pretty at all, sharp pain was the order of the day for all of the laps.🤦🏻♂️🤪 So, ring @micksdoohan on the Friday night and ask him is Dr Costa around? Luck would have it yes he is, race day. 💪🏼 Dr Costa said “meet me in the medical centre as late as possible before the race”. I took the car to grid, jumped out and went to visit him(and his massive needle) to block the pain in that area. Race was smooth and pain free and managed a big win. 👌🏽 The second time I saw him that day was him standing under the podium very proud and pumped up Italian style. So there it was, the 👍🏼 for the key man that day.

In 1991 I attended my first World Championship Motorcycle Race at Eastern Creek Sydney. My love for the sport has never diminished. Characters and special relationships with extreme loyalty isn’t unusual with this group, it’s the sensational highs and the brutally tough lows that brings the two wheel community together. Ticked a massive one off the bucket list yesterday with a 2 up ride with @francobattaini 💩😳 I thought I would create a little bit of theatre by doing the stoppy with my feet off the pegs, I then realised that I was going to do the stoppy landing on my nuts!🥴🙄 Thanks @alpinestars and @mugellocircuit 🙏👍🏼 #magic
