Maximilian Lee Piazza Instagram – Becoming young Zoro on screen was more than stepping into a role; it was living a dream as a One Piece fan. I’ve lived and breathed the world that Oda Sensei has masterfully created (celebrating 521 million copies sold globally!), where adventure, friendship, and the pursuit of dreams are the lifeblood of the story. To embody Zoro, a character I’ve admired for so long, has been one of the biggest honors and joys of my life.
I got to work with the brilliant and passionate @onepiecenetflix team who poured their hearts and souls into the production. And through it, I gained a family and friendships that will last a lifetime.
Filling the big shoes of Zoro, especially with @mackenyu portraying his older counterpart, was a challenge that drove me to push my boundaries. I dedicated myself to train and work hard to capture the essence of this iconic character and to deliver a performance that I hoped would make the fans proud.
As the One Piece Live Action series reaches out to longstanding fans and also connects with new ones, I’m overwhelmed with gratitude. Your embrace of and love for OPLA is the ultimate reward.
