Pratik Gandhi Instagram – Comedic performances often tend to be dismissed as a lesser form of acting. But @pratikgandhiofficial corrects this oversight with his role as Pinku, the meek ‘middle friend’ in Kunal Kemmu’s ‘Madgaon Express’. Gandhi stages the gag of Pinku’s cocaine-fuelled odyssey as a superb ode to superhero alter-egos and cultural dualities at once. It’s a turn of peak physical comedy: a mix of bio-specific tics and over-the-top Gujarati masculinity. And, of course, a hoot to watch.
