Sasha Velour Instagram – Dziękuję 💖 🪲Still thinking about the night of joy and queer community we had in Poland for the “The Big Reveal Live Show” at the 1950s-era Dom Muzyki i Tańca in Zabrze. Thanks to designers @rad_duet for styling me in this incredible piece from their most recent collection, made with a custom pattern inspired by the life cycle of a beetle. The image of this beetle was used in 1950s propaganda, blaming food shortages on insect plagues supposedly started by “enemies of socialism.” That’s why the designers have reclaimed it as a symbol of resistance against misinformation and any ideology of the dangerous “other.” 📸: @mettieostrowski
