अर्थ – श्रीराम की तुलना तेजवान् सूर्य से करते हुए तुलसीदास कहते हैं कि जिस प्रकार सूर्य के दूर रहने पर छाया लंबी हो जाती है और सूर्य के ठीक सिर के ऊपर आ जाने से छाया पैरों के नीचे आ जाती है, उसी प्रकार श्रीराम से दूर अर्थात् उनसे विमुख होकर मनुष्य-मन सांसारिक मायाजाल में फँस जाता है; परंतु मन में श्रीराम के विराजते ही उसके ऊपर से माया का प्रभाव दूर हो जाता है।
