Without light, darkness becomes too dark; with light, shadows follow. “Doan”, created by the renowned Australian indigenous artist Daniel Boyd, is being showcased at Pacific Place from now until 7 April as part of the “Encounters” art installation from Art Basel Hong Kong. This site-specific artwork features a brand-new moving image piece, a mirrored stage, and specially arranged windows that reflect the shifting interplay of light and shadow during the daytime.
