Dates these days look like grocery shopping and getting lunch at @erewhon and it’s more than okay with me. We’re approaching our 11th anniversary at the end of the month and the last year has really tested the whole ‘in sickness and health’ part of our vows. Finally on the road to recovery after a long bout of SIBO which caused me to suffer malabsorption and malnourishment leading to unexpected weight loss. (I’m aware I look too thin, please stop telling me. It’s unhelpful and frankly, rude). It has stressed my body and our relationship but we’re stronger now and working on healing together. This is what long term relationships are about. It’s not always pretty. It’s not always easy. But if you are both committed to self improvement you will grow – hopefully together. I’m grateful that we’ve gotten to a place where I can ask for help and know that I will receive it. I don’t like to depend on anyone but this man has my back thought thick and thin. Working on getting back to thick. Full fat smoothies and pizza should help. We’re a work in progress and after 11 years of marriage, discovering that the bad times push you towards better ones if you’re willing to see the lessons in the struggles. Love you, Drew. Thanks for taking care of me even when I’m not the best at asking for what I need. ⛅
