“If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” It’s a popular saying that perfectly sums up why I continue to use the same (in this case, similar) color for my kitchen designs. I may be keeping it neutral with the foundation, but trust me, this space will be full of varying textures, shapes and pizazz! Well folks, looks like we’re almost looking like a kitchen! Things are taking form in today’s reel! . . . . 🎥: @jondavolio
If you know Breegan, you know she has her own way of doing things. That’s one of the ulterior motives of building and designing your own home: you don’t need anyone’s permission to do what you want to do! You’ll see what I mean in today’s house update. . . . . 🎥: @jondavolio
“We travel, not to escape life, but for life not to escape us.” —Unknown Shades of blue, teal and white billowing in a gentle breeze while being kissed by an island sun sound like the remedy for just about everything right now. My fabrics and wallpaper collection with @clarke_clarke_interiors is all about my favorite places in the world and the impact they have on mood. I hope you’ll take one, like “Nairobi”, and use it in a way that will transport you to your own personal vacation each time you experience your space. Everyone deserves that if you ask me. . . . @kravetinc @sanderson1860
What makes a party house “THE” party house? It takes more than a pool in the backyard—though that’s a really nice addition to any vacation or luxury home. The smaller details help create the aesthetic you want to relax and have a good time. This homeowner got it right: the pool looks amazing, but the extras take it over the top! I could certainly see myself here – how about you? . . . . 🎥: @jondavolio
@clarke_clarke_interiors are masters at using and creating patterns and prints in the most artful ways, and because we share a love for them I knew our collaboration would feel organic. When we were creating these masterpieces, I immediately began to picture how they would and could work together in such unique configurations. Here, “Kisumu” in Caribbean, “Pokot” in denim, and “Serengeti” in midnight are all playing off of one another, each a different pattern, but all featuring gorgeous shades of blue. The result is a space that feels expertly curated. This is easily achievable at your own home! Check out the collection to mix and match patterns and prints in the same color family and try it for yourself! . . . @kravetinc @sanderson1860
“We don’t need all of that.” I hear that often with clients looking for luxury real estate. The thing is, sometimes “all of that” doesn’t take into consideration the scale of interior design elements within the space that’s available. Small items can look smaller in a large setting, while larger items can be enormous in smaller places. Today’s reel shows a great example of what I mean. . . . . 🎥: @jondavolio
One of the things I love about my career is meeting and connecting with amazing people and sharing the stage with them. This photo highlights one of those times earlier this year, when I spoke at the @renewalbyandersen convention. You might not automatically think so, but in interior design there are so many great opportunities to connect—personally, professionally and culturally—with the nicest and most wonderful businesses and potential clients. I’m simply honored to be a part of these experiences. Thank you so much, RbA!
Memories held within this photo are hard. That smile makes holding both of my children—alone—look so effortless, even though they collectively were more than what was physically comfortable. My face only camouflaged what was an extremely difficult time for me. Even the shades hid the fact that I literally had no time for makeup…or much else. It was such a challenging Thanksgiving holiday. I was surrounded by friends and family, but I felt so alone. The harsh reality of becoming the head of my own household came swiftly and without choice. It wasn’t the hand I wanted, but it was the hand I was dealt. Nevertheless, I refused to let circumstances take me or my family down. The tenacity of a woman and mother will always triumph, and I am proof of that today.
Is there such a thing as “too much” in interior design? Absolutely. Unless you’re going for a maximalist vibe, having too much of a color or texture can oftentimes feel imbalanced visually. There is an exception, though: greenery! I say you can never have enough plants and foliage, even faux ones, in the home. Greenery connects the inside to the outside in such a harmonious way. I love how plant accents in the Can Camino home bring out the beauty of its outside environment. Isn’t it just gorgeous? How are you using plants in your home? . . . . 🎥: @jondavolio
I look at this photo of me with a baby on my hip and toddler at my feet, and I see the mom who was just deciding to restart her life. My world had been shaken a bit, and big decisions had to be made in order to keep it all together. But I’ve always been a woman unafraid to create the life I wanted, and that’s exactly what I set out to do. There were many hills to climb, but every single one was worth it. The success of today is due to the work of yesterday. Moms, do it for you. You deserve the life you want.
When designing a home, organization is KEY! All of your great furniture, appliances and accents can get placed and misplaced…it can be frustrating for everyone involved. Thankfully, there are some tips that can help you find what you need, when you need it for installation, etc. Check out today’s reel to find out! . . . . 🎥: @jondavolio
When I think of how the world was changed after the major events of 2020, I truly realize how much interior design and the way we look at it shifted as well. We all craved nature and serenity. Now, we’re all looking to get our fun back, and color, pattern and prints are a huge part of that. I loved reimagining what animal print and various combinations featuring it could look like as part of a sophisticated ensemble. Check out my stories to learn more about the inspo behind so much of these stunning creations. . . . @clarke_clarke_interiors @kravetinc @sanderson1860
There’s a really fine line between clean, modern interior design and “clinical”, uninspired design. Using neutrals doesn’t have to be stale at all. I should know; I’m an expert at incorporating personality and panache with a neutral design palette. Remember this: the primary element of any home design choice has to be YOU! Don’t be afraid to personalize your home with YOUR creativity. That will always take your spaces to the next level! . . . . 🎥: @jondavolio
“Some people don’t believe in heroes. But they haven’t met my brother.”—Unknown I will never tire of watching the way these two bond and battle, master friendship and tackle frustration, and ultimately become each other’s protector as they grow. They don’t tell you how to prepare for #boymom life, and honestly, even if someone attempted to, it wouldn’t be enough. The truth is, there simply aren’t words to describe what this journey is like. All I know is, I feel lucky to experience it every day. Any more moms of boys out there who can relate?
It’s not a Breegan Jane signature design project if there’s not at least a hint of teal somewhere! If you’re new here, you might have seen the teals and shades of blue featured in my new @clarke_clarke_interiors line. But the love affair goes waaaaaay back! I have always loved the majestic hue and all it reminds me of. I think I’ll chase the beauty of the shimmering teal waters of Ibiza my whole life! I adore what teal does for the mood AND for interior design. What’s your favorite color?
I’m so proud of my boys @djkingdjken for pursuing their creative musical passions. They just released a new dance song, “Brother Love.” I may be biased as their super proud mom, but I think it’s a great first step into the music arena for them. But I’ll let you be the judge – head to @soundcloud and listen for yourself! Thanks in advance for supporting my two little DJs!
Seattle! You were amazing! I had a chance to participate in Spring Design Day at @seattledesigncenter, and WOW, what a time! I loved talking with Rick Campos of @designbizsurvivalguide and revealing the inspiration behind my fabrics and wallpapers line with @clarke_clarke_interiors. A huge thank you to everyone who attended and made the event such a success! . . . @kravet.lj.bf.seattle @kravetinc @sanderson1860
Despite the numerous international and domestic trips I’ve taken over the last several weeks, there’s nothing like taking a true vacation. Until then, I can always mentally get whisked away when I take a look at my new wallpaper and fabric collection with @clarke_clarke_interiors. These prints always take me to a serene emotional space, and I hope they will for anyone who graces their homes with them. What are YOUR spring/summer vacation plans? . . . @kravetinc @sanderson1860
Technology has truly changed the landscape of architecture and interior design. Physical drawings have pretty much given way to digital design, and that field is changing more rapidly by the day. Can you look at this video and tell what is a photo and what is a digital rendering? I’m so curious what the next phase of design and modeling will be…🤔 . . . . 🎥: @jondavolio

Beauty always lies in the details, and I love all of the intricate elements I chose for my bathrooms. This one will have some Breegan signatures as well as a few surprises that will make it a one-of-a-kind space in my home—or any home, I dare say. But I’ll let you be the judge of that. 😉🙂 . . . . 🎥: @jondavolio
It wouldn’t be a Breegan Jane collection if there wasn’t a healthy dose of teal involved! When I think of Ibiza, the water always comes to mind. But even beyond that, coastal design almost always involves a shade of blue. Let’s face it, it’s a shade that just feels soothing! It also has the ability to pair well with a more neutral palette without being too jarring to the senses. If you’re looking to add a pop of color to your space but you’re unsure of what works well, blue is an excellent choice. You can find various shades of blue in both my fabrics and wallpapers with @clarke_clarke_interiors. Tell me, do you prefer the solids or the prints more? . . . @kravetinc @sanderson1860
It’s an old adage, but it still rings true: the first rule of real estate is location, location, location! This Can Camino property truly embodies that, as it is located where the best of the California coastline can be experienced daily. The view is breathtaking, you guys, and I can’t wait to show you the rest of the complementing home design that makes this an absolutely amazing rental home. . . . . 🎥: @jondavolio
Where can you see the Breegan Jane family at their best? Anywhere there’s sun and amazing temperatures, you’ll see us wearing our biggest smiles and joy-filled faces. We’re a Southern California family to the core, and nothing will make us happier than when we can be outside, soaking up some Vitamin D and inhaling salty sea air. How about your family?
