Anyone else have a friend who worked at Gaiitiland????Cherry Pie Dessert Pizza
Ingredients:
1 store-bought pie dough
1 can (about 21 ounces) cherry pie filling
For the crumb topping:
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
For the icing:
1 cup powdered sugar
2 tablespoons milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F.
Roll out the store-bought pie dough and press it into a 10 inch cast iron skillet. Prick the dough with a fork to prevent air bubbles during baking.
Pre-bake the pie dough until lightly golden, about 10 minutes. Allow it to cool completely.
Spread the cherry pie filling evenly over the cooled pre-baked crust. In a bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, and softened butter to create the crumb topping. Mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Sprinkle the crumb topping over the cherry pie filling. Bake in the preheated oven for an additional 15-20 minutes or until the crumb topping is golden brown.
While the pizza is baking, prepare the icing by whisking together powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
Once the pizza is out of the oven, drizzle the icing over the top while it’s still warm.
Allow the cherry pie pizza to cool for a bit before slicing. Serve and enjoy your homemade Mr. Gatti’s style dessert pizza!

Cinnamon Sugar Apple Turnovers
Ingredients:
2 sheets of puff pastry, thawed according to package instructions
1 can (21 ounces) apple pie filling
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
Instructions:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper.
In a small bowl, mix together the granulated sugar and ground cinnamon to create the cinnamon sugar mixture. Set aside.
Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a lightly floured surface until it’s about 1/8 inch thick. Use a 4-inch round cookie cutter to cut out circles from the pastry.
Spoon about 1-2 tablespoons of apple pie filling onto one half of each puff pastry circle, leaving a small border around the edges.
Brush the edges of the pastry circles with the beaten egg. Fold the pastry over the filling to create half-moon shapes. Crimp the edges to seal the turnovers.
Brush the tops of the turnovers with the beaten egg, then sprinkle generously with the cinnamon sugar mixture.
Place the turnovers onto the prepared baking sheet, leaving space between each one to allow for expansion.
Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until the turnovers are golden brown and puffed up. Remove from the oven and let cool on a rack for a few minutes before serving.
