Comment EYEBALLS for a map with exact timing. 🙋🏻‍♀️How long will it last? 😎 The moon will move across the sun for a few hours, but totality (darkness!) will last 3-4 minutes along the path! 🙋🏻‍♀️Does it matter if I’m on the path of 100% totality? (This means the moon covers 100% of the sun) 😎 if you want to witness the sky go DARK then YES. <99% just won’t be the same. BUT it’ll be cool regardless and you should grab some glasses to watch the moon partially block out the sun! 🙋🏻‍♀️How do I know if my glasses are certified? 😎(1) make sure they say ISO 12312-2 on them (this is the safety rating) (2) you can check to see if the manufacturer is on the American Astronomical Society’s list of approved suppliers at eclipse.aas.org/eye-safety/viewers-filters I’ll share tips on viewing this will littles in later videos!
