My in-laws entrusted me and @lacetagram to do a speedy makeover of their smallest bedroom in Kilkenny. The brief was to keep their old trundle bed (single with another underneath) and to make sure there was a decent office space to boot. I also kept in mind the need for somewhere for Aoife the Baby to sleep when she’s older – as well as adult guests. I also had to keep the office style blinds – we do have a roller blind to add after Christmas but have been ordered to down tools and have a glass of fizz(!!!) The makeover took longer than expected as we found an sixties wallpaper under the vinyl and had to find a steamer to remove it. I was mindful of keeping existing furniture and accessories in mind. The white desk is a foldout table we’ll need to replace and I’m not keen on the current bedside table right now. We also had all the frames/art except the smalest and the pine dresser. The bedding is from @harrycorryinteriors (I had to get a Valance to cover the trundle) and the throw is from @dunnesstores. The bedside lamp I rescued from a mggsperformingarts when I was 14 and they were having a clear out! We also used a tin of @farrowandball Eggshell in Inchyra Blue but ran out before the last wall. The @johnstonespaint store in Kilkenny colour matched for us so we could do the final wall and the woodwork. Shout out to Eddie and Connor for being so helpful. The wallpaper is from @johnlewis and we used two rolls of it. Also a massive shout out to @logitech for gifting me all the Aurora @logitechg peripherals and @logitechc broadcast gear after I worked on their Logiplay event earlier this year. They work perfectly with the @inteluk NUC PC for a streamlined wireless setup. Amazing to see the return of the Iceman Nicolas99fc, but also Nacho Abella making his first ever World Championships – watch out for him! I’ve actually only been in EA FC for six months – pretty much started at the same time as this pregnancy and I’ve really enjoyed learning something new, working with new teams and getting to work both abroad and in London. I don’t know when my next EA FC event is, but I’ve got my fingers crossed I get to do more.
