We typically get more than enough sodium in our diets than we need. It’s also very rare that we are deficient in sodium even when exercising

What we tend to be deficient in is potassium and magnesium, more than anything.

I take magnesium taurate, but glycinate will work just as well. Also, I take potassium citrate, 2 to 3 times a day to ensure that my electrolytes are fully replenished.
–
As long as I’m taking those two supplements, I haven’t found a need for any type of these electrolyte packets. However, everybody’s body is different and you may find that this helps.
