Home Actress Hilary Swank HD Instagram Photos and Wallpapers April 2024 Hilary Swank Instagram - As we struggle with the worst over population crisis our shelters have seen in a decade I think it’s time for a reminder….. We’re going to say this loudly so everyone can hear! Adoption is for LIFE not just for covid!!!! Our shelters and rescues are drowning because of our disposable society! Dogs and cats WILL lose their lives. What we all feared would happen with the adoption trend that blew up all through the covid quarantine period is happening and will have devastating results 😞. Animal lives are no more disposable than human lives so why do we as a society so quickly throw them away? Animals are not toys just as our children are not. If you take responsibility for a life don’t you think that responsibility should be for life? It’s time for some accountability. What we as humans are doing is not ok and it’s not sustainable. Covid shut us down. We were bored, restricted and many adopted. This should have been a wonderful thing. But instead humans are messing up one of the few good things that came out of the covid quarantine. Now that we are slowly going back to work and resuming some normalcy those same adopted companions that brought us joy and comfort are suddenly a inconvenience. We are throwing away the very living things that gave us sanity and a sense of purpose when the world was in total upheaval. And don’t forget they gave us love with no expectation of anything given in return. It sure would be nice if we could treat them with the same respect! The reality….our shelters are full. Rescues are full. Animals are loose all over the streets. People don’t care. Guess what? It’s time to care and it’s time to take charge of a society that chooses to make living creatures a disposable commodity. So many rely on others to make a difference but we in the rescue community need you to look at what you can do. We need more doers and less people on the sidelines. If we don’t get more help soon the lives lost in our shelter system just may reach numbers higher than we’ve ever seen before. We as a society can’t let that happen. We have to be the change we want to see! We have to make their lives matter too 💔 Repost : @marleysmutts

Injustice, racism, and social inequalities that are very much present both in Alaska and beyond.
