We are overjoyed to present an exclusive collection of signed prints by the esteemed Dr. Jane Goodall herself!
These are moments that left an indelible mark on history, including Jane’s iconic self-portrait from her formative years in Gombe, alongside captivating photos of her beloved chimpanzee companions.
We also have this iconic moment captured by legendary @natgeo photographer Mike “Nick” Nichols, @michaelnicknichols as he watched Jane approach the cage of a dangerous and aggressive male chimpanzee. Disarming him with a language cultivated through years of intimate research, she extends a simple yet profound gesture—offering her hair for him to touch.. It was a simple moment that came to represent the essence of Dr. Goodall’s lifelong dedication to wildlife conservation.
It’s important to note that Dr. Goodall does not endorse handling or close proximity to wildlife, but this historic moment serves as a poignant reminder of the profound understanding she had of these creatures’ sentience.
Join us as we embark on a 90-day journey celebrating the breathtaking photography of pioneering female artists, each image inspired by the enduring legacy of Jane Goodall. Act soon to secure your piece of history – link in bio!

Have you met Mr. H? 🐒 This monkey plushy has been with Jane on many adventures — including when she was named a @unitednations Messenger of Peace (last slide)!
Mr. H was given to Jane by Gary Haun (slide 2), a man who lost his eyesight at 21 years old, who pursued his dreams of being a magician despite the challenges of working in a field known for visual techniques. As Jane often shares, Gary initially thought he was giving her a chimpanzee plushy, until she had him feel that Mr. H had a tail (chimpanzees and other great apes don’t have tails, but monkeys do).
Jane was deeply inspired by Gary’s story, and so she decided to carry Mr. H as a symbol of the indomitable human spirit — one of her four main reasons for hope!

Have you noticed how we always put a disclaimer on photos that show humans and wildlife in close proximity? It’s more than just a precaution — it’s a crucial step in safeguarding both humans and our primate friends 🐵
Chimpanzees are wild animals that should always be observed with great respect and caution, and we’ve learned a lot about how to best interact with them since Jane first began studying the species. But did you know, we can pose more danger to them than they do to us? By coming into close contact, we can inadvertently expose them to illnesses their immune systems aren’t equipped to handle 😷
To combat this risk, the Jane Goodall Institute and the Gombe Stream Research Center have instituted the Gombe One Health Hub. 🔬 This initiative aims to better understand, anticipate, and address zoonotic diseases — those that can leap between animals and humans. Gombe researchers use innovative methods to keep the wildlife we study safe, from studying mosquito DNA, like you see in the image above, to learning from local people about their health and livestock.
Our goal is to predict, detect, and respond to disease outbreaks to ensure a healthier future for both humans and our primate family.
