Cartoonist ROBB ARMSTRONG.
Peanuts creator, Charles Schultz created the 1st black character in his comic strip, Peanuts, in 1968, after the assassination of Dr Martin Luther King, as an attempt to gain more understanding of each other. ✍️ That character inspired Robb to follow suit. Schultz respected his work so much he named the character after Robb by naming the character Franklin Armstrong. 🏠 Robb also co-wrote the Apple TV special WELCOME HOME FRANKLIN.
