Julia Gillard Instagram – Today I released the final report of the Royal Commission into Early Childhood Education and Care in South Australia.
This report is all about creating the best start for every child. The way a child grows, learns and develops in the years before school is pivotal.
The Commission lays out 43 recommendations designed to take South Australia on a pathway of change that will see our state lead on early childhood education and care.
A shift this major will take time, policy energy and resources. Given my own experiences with the demands and complexities of government, I understand and respect the processes the State Government must now undertake.
I thank each and every person who took the time to engage with the Royal Commission. This report has been enriched by your insights.
Thank you also to the remarkable team Iāve had the great pleasure of working with over the past year, and to our State Premier, @pmalinauskasmp for trusting with me with this important work.
