WHAT WE DO
We match individual funders with families in need of quality midwifery care and birth support across the country through an “each one reach one” community care model.
OUR WHY
America is in a birth care crisis. Did you know that the U.S. has the highest rates of maternal mortality in all of the industrialized world? And Black mothers are more than 3 to 4 times more likely to die during and after childbirth.
There is no reason that in 2024 it should be this risky to give birth in the wealthiest country in the world. Especially when solutions are within reach.
Studies show that midwives could prevent more than 80% of maternal and infant deaths. Yet, midwifery care is not covered by most insurance providers in America.
We are tired of waiting for change. So, we are creating change ourselves.

When we reminisce about the Y2K movement, it’s impossible not to mention you. How does it feel to see Gen-Z bring back many looks from that time, many inspired by you and Destiny’s Child?
It is so wild because I remember being 16/17 and hearing about fashion and style cycles, and how it comes back around every 20 plus years, and it is happening right in front of me. It is making me want to pull the Independent Women Pucci dress out of my closet and squeeze into it!
