I can already guarantee this post is FAAAAARR from covering the incredibly nuanced facts of everything going on but I don’t have to be perfectly fully educated on every detail to vehemently denounce antisemitism in all its forms and loudly stand in solidarity with my Jewish brothers and sisters, yes on all days, but especially on a day that has been designed to support the terrorism of Hamas which has publically stated “we must attack every Jew on the planet Earth! We must slaughter and kill them,” words stated by Fathi Hammond, senior Hamas official & to “bring annihilation upon the Jews,” publically stated by Hamas official Sheik Dr. Hamad Al-Regeb. Nuance is incredibly important and one can denounce antisemitism and support the Jewish people while also supporting the freedom of Palestinians. Two things can be and are true at the same time for me: I want to make it abundantly crystal clear I stand in solidarity with my Jewish brothers and sisters AND I stand in solidarity with my Palestinian brothers and sisters and I believe in freedom and peace for every Palestinian and Israeli and every human being on Earth. Let’s not dehumanize people & justify hate by drawing no distinction between human beings and the actions of their governments and acts of terrorism. Innocent Palestinians in Gaza are NOT Hamas and the Jewish people are NOT the actions of the Israeli government. It is imperative we see how this rhetoric travels like poison that it can be justified to have a “global day of anger” which the sole intent is supporting the massacre carried out by Hamas and where Hamas Senior official Mousa Abu Marzouk is not shy about publicly stating “Israel will come to an end just as it began…the day will come when people will ask ‘where did Israel go?” To my Jewish friends and the entire Jewish global community: I love you, I support you, I stand with you. To my Palestinian friends and the entire Palestinian global community: I love you, I support you, I stand with you. To anyone who is able, please consider donating to @womenwagepeace whose work is dedicated to unity between Palestinian & Israelis @thepcrf

Celebrating the One today who gave me life and then breathed life into me when I wanted to take my own. The most vulnerable thing about me is my relationship with Jesus and the below certainly doesn’t encapsulate everything in its entirety, but sharing a little letter turned psalm that I wrote Him after I gave Jesus my heart and my life when He delivered me from the worst suicidal period of my life. It’s called “I Touched Your Garments and was Never the Same” Thank You, Jesus. You were the One who did not throw me away and I would not be here if it wasn’t for You. You introduced me to a love so great and magnificent and pure and redeeming, transformative, healing, that my human mind cannot comprehend it. My human mind that beats myself up and falls into self pity and self loathing plummets myself into the darkness and without your Light, it’s myself and the world I fight. You taught me that the deeper the destruction, the greater the resurrection. You taught me how to love myself and I can only love others properly when I love myself. I need You like I need water and now I understand why You say people who drink from You will never go thirsty. I understand this now because I have experienced it. All the mistakes I’ve made and flaws I have, you’ve forgiven and made me new. You made me understand why David wrote psalms. It heals all my qualms Without You I’m in a drought, without You I am overcome by worry and doubt Without You I’m desolate vacant and dry The worst is when my insides are so dry I cannot even cry Your water penetrates Sweet Jesus You’re my Love My Love my Love from above You’re above and in my heart You’re written in my heart You cast out the guilt, the dirt, the shame My heart felt like an ashtray I wore a cloak of shame But then You called me by name You justified my name You claimed me As Your own You left the 99 When You knew I wasn’t fine The same You that turned water to wine You don’t define me by my mistakes You refine me for Your Namesake -Kether Donohue “By His stripes we are healed.” Isaiah 53:5 Happy Resurrection Day to The King of Glory #heisrisen
