In this house, we keep recipe traditions alive especially around the holidays. Artichokes are alwaysssssssss on the table at Easter, either boiled (or steamed) or stuffed (and most of the time both) and they are so sensational you can’t even imagine!! I don’t really measure the filling (but i hope to shoot it for you in depth this week if time allows because I make them all spring long!!) breadcrumbs , cheese, garlic, parsley, lots of oil and good pinch of salt. Cook low and slow in enough water and to come up half way and a good drizzle of oil and healthy pinch of salt. Keep topping off the water to keep it at that halfway mark, cook about an hour and if you’d like (and I recommend) broil for a few minutes. Serve with some of the brothy water drizzled over the top and live your best life one bite at a time babes 😍
Buona Pasqua and Happy Easter from our family to yours! Xoxo
Happy birthday to the love of my life ❤️ the man who gives us the world, makes all our dreams come true and is the most supportive husband on the actual face of the earth. They sure broke the mold with you my love! ❤️ @mrjoevitale
Comment CASATIELLO (no other characters next to it) and I’ll send you the recipe directly if you’d like or it’s just on my website for you to grab anytime! You know, in a Napoletano household you can’t even contemplate Easter without this classic. It’s a MUST on our antipasto platter (with ricotta salata, fava beans, salami and hard boiled eggs) and this recipe is exactly like how my mamma and nonna have been making for over 50 years!! It’s a treasured family favorite we only eat once a year and we all just love it!! Do you have any family recipes like this that you only eat at Easter? Sound off babes!
Dear heavens above these chicken Cesar grinders are un-freaking-believable!!!!!!!! Video just went live on Laura in the Kitchen, recipe in the description of the video. One word.. RUN!!!!!!
The BESTTTTT Lemon garlic roasted chicken and potatoes EVERRRR!! Run to Laura in the kitchen to watch the full video and grab the recipe!
Buongiorno!! Close your eyes, picture yourself on a 75 degree sunny day, at the table eating this Barbacoa with friends and sipping on something cold and delish. Fun days ahead!! Comment BARBACOA (no other characters after please) I’ll shoot you a link directly in your dms! This is a great one for meal prep too and you can serve it on a bowl of just like this!
Everyone knows Italians will be celebrating San Giuseppe on Tuesday and there’s no way we’d celebrate without zeppole San Giuseppe! These are a family favorite and always such a hit! Updated recipe is available on my book where I give you detailed instructions on how to make them both baked or fried (fried only for my mamma ❤️ but I love them baked) my original recipe is on my site! ❤️
Buongiorno!! Set up my outdoor cooking cart with me! I think of this little cart like the countertop in my kitchen, it holds all the little things I would constantly run back and fourth in the kitchen for, this way it’s all in one place, I roll it wherever I need it, and it holds my essentials (just like my countertop in the kitchen) pots and pans I grab what I need for what I’m cooking but other than that, this little cart holds my basics I use all day every day for pretty much everything I cook. I always need some plates and shallow bowls either for prepped ingredients or to place things in, silverware to grab and go and everything else I need at the ready! Do you this too? It saves me with all the cooking I do outside because otherwise I’d lose my mind 🤣 I’ll link my cart in stories for you (the utensil holder is an old Italian cookie jar but I linked similar versions for you and all saved to kitchen things highlights) ❤️
This updated video is now LIVE! Run to LItK to watch! Over the last 20 years I’ve carried out tradition of waking up every day the week of Easter and enjoying a slice of Italian sweet bread dunked in some coffee as a way of celebrating all week long and taking us back to a time and place. This is now a treasured tradition with my own little family and friends and you simply can’t walk into any grocery store or bakery in Jersey/PA/NY this week without seeing these lining the shelves and lines of people out the door trying to get their hands on one. It’s simply sensational, eaten fresh the day of so it’s soft and fluffy then it dries out (it’s meant to!!) and becomes perfect for coffee Dunkin! Simply the best!! Happy Easter weekend friends!! ❤️ you can also comment EASTER (no other character please) and I’ll send you the recipe too!
Reminding you that lamb (or any roast) doesn’t taste the same without potatoes! You can certainly roast them along side but trust me when I tell you, these wine and rosemary roasted potatoes will make allllll your dreams come true and will leave people begging you for the recipe! The recipe is in my book (have you gotten it yet??!!) and many people that have made them now lovingly call them “the best roasted potatoes ever made” and once you eat just one you’ll understand why that’s so true!! Parboil them so they soak up all those flavorful juices and bake to golden perfection!
The weekend is loading………
Buongiorno!! The best springy weekend activity that gets better and better as it sits. I call this limoncello tiramisu but I should really call it mousse-y limoncello trifle because the cream is just light, fluffy and oh so delicious! Full recipe on my site (I’ll link it in stories) and a must make 😉
If you’re making lamb on Sunday, don’t let nonna catch you serving it without a side of broccoli rabe!! My broccoli rabe is truly the stuff of dreams, my nonna said it tastes just like hers (you know what a compliment that is!!) and I make it weekly because it’s our absolute fav greens side dish and goes with anything Italian!! Full recipe is in my book but it’s straight forward. Most importantly DO NOT boil it first or you’re literally washing away all its distinct flavor (it’s meant to be bitter, if you don’t like that then use spinach because you’re paying top dollar for broccoli rabe to taste like something else and that’s just wild babes) lots of good olive oil (yes at least 1/4 cup for 2 bunches) smash not chop your garlic and cook it until really soft and practically falling apart. Season generously with salt , add water to cool it down and enjoy every bite. With a roast, on chicken cutlets, or just by itself, nothing better I promise you!
So close to sweet summertime ❤️
The level of obsession we’ve been having lately with this easy lemony, browned butter, parm pasta is just next level!! I change up what I add to it depending on what’s In season and what I have on hand. It’s giving piccata vibes mixed with a cacio e Pepe vibe, it’s truly so good! Recipe just went live on LITk on the tube , run to watch, recipe listed in the description of that video!
Pennette with ham (or prosciutto cotto) and mushrooms is a papa Sal staple we ate a lot throughout my life. It’s easy but oh so freaking delicious!! Full recipe on my site (oldie but a goodie) perfect for a lunch outside on this marvelous 78 degree sunny day ❤️
Your weekend would be much sweeter if you baked a batch of my cosmic brownies 😍 fudgy, rich and oh so freakin delish!!! I love a bit of slow weekend cooking and baking, sets the mood in the whole house! I’m making these today, I highly doubt there will be anything left by tomorrow 🤣 recipe on my site!
Little home things recently that just make me happy. Bringing in that blue and white (I can’t get enough) and few rustic touches. The BESTTTTTTTT faux florals EVERRRRR ever ever!! More in stories! All linked for ya! What’s your favorite home style?
It’s in the 70s this week and I can practically feel those warm happy days on my skin!! #foreverasummergirl
Just in case you were still looking for something to serve this weekend 😉😉
