Loey Lane Instagram – Life is beautiful and worth living in the skin you’re in right now 💓 … Can we be honest, though? I almost didn’t post this video. A few weeks ago, I posted something similar, just celebrating feeling content in my own body. In my decade of making content, I’ve never seen a response quite like the one that got. I’m used to hate comments, don’t get me wrong, but this was different. I could almost feel the hatred people (mostly men) felt for my body through their vile words on screen. How, after all this time, could they catch me off guard by dwindling me down to nothing but my body, the very one they saw me loving in that video? They’ve done it my whole life. I have never been more than a sack of undesirable flesh to them. For a moment, I nearly believed it. But only for a moment. Then I remembered. I remembered who I was, inside of this body. The woman I’ve worked so hard to become. I look in the mirror every single day and choose compassion for myself. After a lifetime of hearing that I don’t deserve that empathy from anyone because of my body, I think that loving myself loudly is the least I can do. And so here I am. Living out my dreams in a body that I cherish, no matter what anyone says about it. I hope that you will too. Love you. 💓 #plussize #bodypositivity #outfit
