Megan Boone Instagram – Thank you BRILLIANT PEOPLE for coming out to support and learn more about @riverkeeper ❤️ My hope is that environmentalism, naturalism, & ecocentrism are on the brink of a cultural renaissance, and I worked with colleagues at the org to throw this event, in a capacity that was totally new to me, because I’d like to help the conservation & adaptation work (that has been historically reserved for scientists, lawyers, policy wonks, and outdoors people) open up to all corners of culture and society. So we brought together folks from as many creative disciplines as possible. The head of Riverkeeper, @tracy.brown.aroundtown often mentions her goal that we begin to center the river as an artistic muse. The Hudson River watershed is home to about 85% of biodiversity in the entire state of NY. It’s the source of life. And as sea levels rise and flooding increases it has never been a more perilous time to fight for it. So NY artists, we need you to keep the heart pumping, now more than ever. Join us next year.
