Megan Boone Instagram - Thank you BRILLIANT PEOPLE for coming out to support and learn more about @riverkeeper ❤️ My hope is that environmentalism, naturalism, & ecocentrism are on the brink of a cultural renaissance, and I worked with colleagues at the org to throw this event, in a capacity that was totally new to me, because I’d like to help the conservation & adaptation work (that has been historically reserved for scientists, lawyers, policy wonks, and outdoors people) open up to all corners of culture and society. So we brought together folks from as many creative disciplines as possible. The head of Riverkeeper, @tracy.brown.aroundtown often mentions her goal that we begin to center the river as an artistic muse. The Hudson River watershed is home to about 85% of biodiversity in the entire state of NY. It’s the source of life. And as sea levels rise and flooding increases it has never been a more perilous time to fight for it. So NY artists, we need you to keep the heart pumping, now more than ever. Join us next year.

Megan Boone Instagram - @algore has been working tirelessly for decades to educate the public against the deluge of disinformation from fossil fuel special interests. His documentary and lecture series clarified the emergency of climate catastrophe for me- an issue that is otherwise a too slow revelation. By teaching me about our era-defining issue — there is absolutely no doubt that he changed the course of my life with what he dedicated his to. Climate work is by far the most fulfilling service of my life. I finally got to see him present his slide show in person for the 55th #climatereality training and since he keeps the slide show up to date, defining the latest in climate breakdown and progress it has unfortunately become quite robust, but not without hope. But we absolutely must engage. All of us. VP Gore is a hero of mine and thanks to the @climaterealityproject team I was finally able to meet him. It was incredibly moving. Thank you Mr. Gore and @tim_guinee with @climaterealityproject PLEASE CHECK OUT @climaterealityproject and attend a training. I’ll certainly be returning. I feel so reinvigorated to serve this cause, to repair the damage done and care for our shared home.
